Welcome to WoodHaus!

My Name is Jacob, and I started WoodHaus back in 2018 with the goal to finance my enthusiasm for woodworking. This hobby has quickly developed into something much more then I ever thought. WoodHaus mainly deals In custom, made to order work. Being a small business, I am not yet able to invest to heavily in stocking the shelves. Plus, my customers really appreciate the custom elements I add to my work, I think you shall as well.

WoodHaus is based in Elkhart, Indiana. I use locally sourced lumber. Honestly, I can usually take you to where the tree was cut down. I like to take wood that has been tossed aside. That is waiting to be thrown into the fire, and turning it into something beautiful by infusing it with resin and structural bow-ties. I utilize old-world Joinery techniques to ensure my work lasts for generations.

My design style is unique and large. Whether turning a bowl on the lathe, or plotting out the design of a new massive charcuterie board. I let the wood speak to me, letting its grain patterns influence my lines as I draw. trying my best to leave this chunk of wood the way nature intended. Or at least that’s what I tell myself, my charcuterie boards always end up looking like hot peppers.
